The PTSA uses the word Program to define a project or use that needs funding (or volunteers). For example, if the school requests copy paper the PTSA might refer to it as the “Copy Paper Program”

Programs are added to our budget (if approved).

The PTSA requires that all expenses be approved in advance by the Association.

How does the Millikan PTSA work?

The PTSA is governed by our bylaws. We are a 501c3 non-profit entity and must abide by certain rules of the road regarding how we can support the school financially.

We are a group of volunteers and members of the PTSA Association. Anyone who becomes a PTSA member (even you!) automatically becomes part of the Association.

The Executive Board provides management and recommendations for the Association.

The Association (members) approves or rejects the recommendations from the Executive Board.

We have monthly Executive Board meetings.

We have Association meetings every two months starting in September.
