Summer School Information
LBUSD Summer School Registration is now open for the summer of 2023. The Deadline to register for summer school is May 19, 2023. Summer school enrollment is a two step process:
STEP 1- Parents must go into their Parent Vue account and enroll their student for summer school. DIRECTIONS TO REGISTER STUDENT
STEP 2 - Students must go to into their Student Vue account and register for the classes they need to take. DIRECTIONS TO SELECT COURSES
SUMMER SCHOOL OUTSIDE OF LBUSD:
If students are planning to take summer school classes outside of LBUSD, they need to complete the Request for Outside Credit Form linked above prior to enrolling. Please be aware that if courses are not pre-approved by district personnel, they will not be placed on the LBUSD transcript. No forms will be accepted after the last day of school.
Our district guidelines for summer school outside of LBUSD is as follows: A student may take a course at an institution other than LBUSD and transfer credits/grades back to LBUSD if the following conditions are met:
○ The school must be WASC accredited or have other regional accreditation
○ The school must have an active UC A-G list
○ A Syllabus and a Course Outline for the course must be submitted with the Request Form (see below)
○ If approved, all coursework must be completed by the end of the summer term and prior to the start of the academic school year (Fall)
○ If approved, an official transcript must be submitted to the high school once the course is completed
○ The cost for enrolling in any private/cost bearing program will be the responsibility of the parent/guardian. The district is unable to assume the cost for students who opt to take courses in this alternative method, including proctoring costs.

IMPORTANT SUMMER SCHOOL INFORMATION:
Summer school begins June 26, 2023 and continues until July 28th. Students will be able to view their summer school schedules in StudentVue beginning Friday, June 23rd. Students should check their schedule and report directly to their classes at the following times:
Period 1: 8:30-10:55am
Period 2: 11:15-1:40pm
If you only have a period 2 class, you will report at 11:15. You do not need to arrive for 1st period.
All summer school classes will be housed in the 800 and 11000 buildings near Barbanell and Snowden. The Summer School Office will be located in room 11207.
Millikan is a uniform school and students will be expected to be in uniform during summer school. For more details, review our uniform policy linked here: Millikan Uniform Policy
