Whether you are just starting or continuing to learn the language, you have made the right choice!

Germany is more than Oktoberfest, Lederhosen, Sauerkraut and Bratwurst. It's a modern and happening place with an interesting music and art scene, where soccer is the national sport, German engineering is being made and the economy is one of the world's strongest. Therefore I am trying to convey a more up to date picture of Germany.

I am Frau (Mrs.) Peterie and I have been teaching German at Millikan H.S. for the last 20 years. I absolutely love teaching and want to you to enjoy learning the language as much as I enjoy teaching it.

I am originally from Erfurt, Germany, and got my degree in teaching English and Russian from the University in Jena. After moving to California in 1991, I first worked at Lufthansa German Airlines as a supervisor and training coordinator only to discover that teaching is really my passion. So, I went to CSULB and got my California teaching credential.
