A Note From the ASB Co-Student Clubs Chairs

Hello Rams!

 

To any students considering starting or renewing a club for the 2017-2018 school year, please pay close attention to the following information:

 

  • Club Charters are due Friday, September 15! Please return the Charters to ASB no later than 3:00pm!

 

  • Club Charters can be found on Millikan’s Homepage or by typing “Club Charters” in the search bar in the top right hand corner.  It is also attached to this message. Remember that before submitting a club charter for ASB approval, the club must hold one official meeting where the club sponsor is present, a list of members is formed, the club constitution is approved, club officers are either discussed or elected, and a set of meeting minutes is documented with an attached agenda. If your club is just getting of the ground...don't worry. Just have a short meeting with the founding members to create the minutes and get started. You can always turn in a full roster of members later.

 

  • Club Rush will be Wednesday, September 20 in the 900 quad. All clubs will be provided with a table, sign in sheet and pens from ASB. All additional posters and decorations must be provided by the club themselves. We HIGHLY recommend that clubs make at least one poster for Club Rush so that students can correctly identify who you’re representing.

 

  • Sign up for Club Rush in ASB by Tuesday, September 19 by 3:00pm! Please be prepared to provide up to 3 names of students who will work the club booth. These students will be receive a pass to leave class 15 minutes during 4th period the day of Club Rush.

 

  • There will be a meeting at lunch in ASB (room 701) the following week on Thursday, September 28 for all club presidents to discuss homecoming guidelines, monthly meeting minutes and other important guidelines. Additional meetings throughout the year may be scheduled for club presidents.
